LAURINBURG, N.C. -- St. Andrews knocked off the Methodist volleyball team 3-0 on Thursday evening at Harris Gym.

The Monarchs now stand at 7-17 on the season while the Knights move to 13-7 overall.

St. Andrews pulled out a narrow first set, 26-24, before a 25-18 win in the second set. MU fell behind in the third set but managed to pull within 18-16 late in the match before SAU scored four straight points en route to a 25-19 win to clinch the victory.

Brittany Ter Meer led the MU offense with 11 kills on the evening.
Jamie Jones added seven with a .400 hitting percentage.
Maggie Harris passed out 22 assists and added 12 digs.
Kaitlyn Rush came up with three service aces and
Annabelle Ronelli led the team with 13 digs.

The Knights were led by Angelica Arroyo's 11 kills and Lindsay Wagner added 10. Corey Altizer had 31 assists, while Nora Darrhar recorded a match-high 20 digs.

With Hurricane Matthew washing out Saturday's schedule tri-match, the Monarchs are now slated to play home against N.C. Wesleyan on Wednesday at 7:00 pm.
