RALEIGH, N.C. -- The Methdoist women's tennis team remains undefeated in conference after picking up a 7-2 win over host Meredith College on Tuesday afternoon.

With the win, the Monarchs move to 8-2 on the season and 3-0 in league play and the Avenging Angels fall to 3-5 overall and 2-2 in conference.

The Monarchs picked up back-to-back wins in doubles, starting with an 8-2 win by the MU duo of
Jenna Landis and
Han Le over Laura Anne Hatcher and Jaqueline Benton. Next, at No. 3,
Davi Barbour and
Riley Zopp topped Cailin Goff and Kate DeSilva, 8-2.

In singles play, Landis notched the first win for Methodist at No. 3, a 6-0, 6-1 win over Hatcher. At No. 5, Barbour cruised past Benton, 6-0, 6-1, before
Ashton Walker clinched the match for MU at No. 4 with a 6-4, 6-2 win over Goff. At No. 6, Zopp edged DeSilva, 7-5, 6-3 and in the last match to finish of the day,
Isabella Graf won, 7-5, 3-6, 11-9, over Catherine Bryant.

The Monarchs will return to home play on Mar. 20 as they host Greensboro at 1:00 p.m.
