GREENSBORO, N.C. -- The Methodist volleyball team held Guilford to just a .031 hitting percentage in posting a 3-1 over the Quakers on Wednesday evening.

The Monarchs limited Guilford to a hitting percentage in two of the four sets in producing a 25-16, 28-26, 22-25, 25-20 win to move to 2-7 on the season. The Quakers fell to 4-5 with the loss.

Cassidy Hayes continued her efficient offensive play, leading the Monarchs with 16 kills and hitting .306 for the match. She added eight digs as well. She has now had at least 12 kills with a hitting percentage over .300 in five of her last six matches and is hitting .303 on the season.

Brittany Ter Meer had 13 kills, and
Maggie Harris contributed 36 assists and 12 digs.
Kaitlyn Rush added 13 digs and a pair of aces, while
Annabelle Ronelli and
Autumn Elder had 26 and 16 digs, respectively.

The Quakers were led by Casey Davis, who had a match-high 21 kills, but hit just .103. Jasmine Gaines added eight kills. Tina Eucker tallied 34 assists and 14 digs, while Christian Ritter led the team with 32 digs on the night.

Methodist is back in action on Friday at the Seahawk Invitational hosted by St. Mary's (Md.). The Monarchs open play at 6:00 pm when they take on Brooklyn.
