FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. -- The Methodist volleyball team posted a 3-1 win over Roanoke in its final home match of the season on Thursday evening at the Riddle Center.

The Monarchs (16-11) won 25-21, 14-25, 25-18, 25-21 and completed a season sweep of the Maroons (9-15). The first set alone featured six lead changes and 11 ties, while the second and third sets were wire-to-wire victories for each team. Methodist never trailed in the fourth set, though the score was tied on a pair of occasions.

Ashley Beardsley led the Methodist offense with 14 kills and added six digs and three blocks. She had four kills in each of the first three sets.
Cassidy Hayes chipped in 12 kills and three blocks, while
Brittany Ter Meer registered eight kills and four blocks on the evenings.
Maggie Harris had 45 assists and 15 digs, while
Annabelle Ronelli had a match-high 28 digs.

For Roanoke, Alex Wolfe had 14 kills and nine digs, and Kylah Blackmore added 12 kills with 14 digs. Sydney Daniel chipped in 10 kills and 10 digs for the Maroons. Logan Graves had six blocks and added five kills, while Olivia Earls posted 25 digs.

The Monarchs are back in action on Saturday at Meredith college for their final tri match of the season. MU will play Ferrum at 2 pm, followed by a 4pm match against the host Avenging Angels.
