Ashley Beardsley 14 kills and hit .440 as the Methodist women's volleyball team won its fourth straight match, 3-1, over N.C. Wesleyan on Wednesday evening at the Riddle Center.

The Monarchs moved to 10-7 overall and 3-3 in the USA South with a 25-19, 20-25, 25-20, 25-19 win over the Battling Bishops who fell to 4-11 on the year and 2-5 in league play.

Beardsley was one of three Monarchs in double figures in kills as
Cassidy Hayes added 13 and
Brittany Ter Meer chipped in 11.
Maggie Harris handed out 44 assists and contributed a team-high 18 digs.

Annabelle Ronelli had 16 digs, and
Alyssa Coffey contributed 10. Hayes also had three blocks on the defensive side. As a team, MU hit .165 compared to .106 for NCWC.

Callie Cline had 11 kills, 13 digs and five blocks for the Bishops. Samantha Morton added 10 kills, and Emily McLain chipped in six kills with nine total blocks. Haileigh Riesenbeck had 21 assists, and Kelly Ammons 16. As a team, NCWC posted 11 total blocks.

The Monarchs are back on the court on Saturday at Ferrum for a pair of USA South matches beginning at 12 pm.
