FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. -- The Methodist women's tennis team earned its sixth-consecutive victory with a 7-0 win against William Peace on a rainy Wednesday afternoon.

With the win, the Monarchs move to 13-6 on the year behind a perfect 6-0 mark in league play. Meanwhile, the Pacers drop to 3-9 overall with a 2-5 record against conference opponents.

Due to storms in the forecast, the match was played to eight-game pro sets. Only one doubles match was scored as
Aly Andrews and
Allison Himes earned a victory by default.

In singles play, Himes tallied an 8-0 win against Alex Young at the three slot before
Ashton Walker defeated Alex Dixon, 8-0 at first singles.
Jenna Landis clinched the match victory with an 8-0 decision against Rachael Peoples at the second position. Andrews dropped Manessah Fox 8-2, while
Sam Carr played to a 6-0 count against Deja Gainey at the fifth position.
Davi Barbour was slotted at sixth singles and picked up a win by default.
