FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. -- The Methodist women's tennis team wrapped up the second day of the Methodist Invitational on Saturday afternoon as the singles portion of the event got underway at the Gene Clayton Courts.

At the No. 1 flight,
Jenna Landis dropped her first match but scored a 6-0, 6-0 win over Amelia Verkerk of Hollins to advance to the finals of the consolation draw.

At No. 2,
Riley Zopp scored a 6-1, 6-0 win over Eleanor Crane of Averett in the first round before falling to Pfeiffer's Anna Branson 6-3, 6-4 in the second round.
Davi Barbour opened with a 6-1, 6-2 win over Gillian Emerson of Meredith before advancing to the finals with a 6-0, 6-1 win over Pfeiffer's Ally Delaney in the semifinals. Zopp will now face Delaney in the third-fourth place match, with Barbour taking on Branson for the title.

Taylor Jackson advanced to the finals of the No. 3 flight with a bye in the first round before a 6-1, 6-1 win over Hannah Mattson of Averett.
Allison Himes, who dropped her first-round match, advanced in the consolation bracket with a 6-1, 6-1 win over Kateri Johnson of Hollins.

The Monarchs had a pair of players advance to the finals of the No. 4 flight as
Hannah Abrahamson scored wins of 6-0, 6-0 and 6-0, 6-1 in the first two rounds. She will face off against teammate
Laura Brown, who won 6-0, 6-0 and 6-0, 7-6 to advance.

A pair of MU players will also square off in the finals at No. 5.
Abby Siracusa won 6-3, 6-4 and 6-1, 6-1 and Andrews was a 7-6, 5-7, 6-3 winner and made the finals with a 7-6, 6-3 victory.

Finally at No. 6,
Audrey Greeson made her way to the finals by way of a pair of 6-0, 6-0 wins.
Casey Carroll will play in the third-fourth place match. She won her first match, 6-2, 7-5, before falling 6-0, 7-5 in the semifinals.
