FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. -- The Methodist volleyball team dropped a pair of USA South conference matches on Saturday afternoon at the Riddle Center.

The Monarchs opened with a 3-0 loss to Averett, before falling 3-1 to William Peace. Averett (14-2, 3-0 USA Sout) topped MU (6-7, 0-3 USA South) by scores of 25-22, 25-23, 25-22 while WPU (5-10, 2-1 USA South) won 22-25, 25-22, 25-22, 25-18.

In the loss to Averett,
Ashley Beardsley led MU with 10 kills, while
Brittany Ter Meer and
Cassidy Hayes chipped in eight kills apiece.
Maggie Harris posted 32 assists, while Annabelle Ronellli had 13 digs.
Chyenne Pump added 10 digs, and
Maddie Barga added a pair of service aces.

Hannah Shields led the Cougars with 15 kills and added seven digs. Brianna Williams added eight kills, 13 digs and four total blocks. McKenzie Miller led the way with 20 assists, while Keenan Marks added 16 helpers.

Against the Pacers, it was Ter Meer who led the offense with 15 kills while adding three blocks. Hayes had 10 kills, and
Megan Andrews added nine to go with a team-high 14 digs. Ronelli had 12 digs, and Harris contributed 37 assists and eight digs.

Lindsay Alford led the Pacers with 11 kills, and Brianna Davis had nine. Carson Williams posted a match-high 21 digs, and Mya Parks and Hailey Stout contributed 11 each. Liana Solomon had 38 assists and four blocks, while Sha'Nice Frazier had six blocks and Davis added five.
