Box Score MISENHEIMER, N.C. -- The Methodist women's tennis team claimed an 8-1 win over Pfeiffer on Wednesday afternoon.

With the win, the Monarchs are now 9-3 on the year, while the Falcons drop to 2-5 overall.

In doubles play, Ashton Walker and Laura Brown remained undefeated as a team and dropped Ally Delaney and Whit, 8-2, while Davi Barbour and Audrey Greeson teamed up to defeat Maddie Hatley and Allison Wike at the third slot, 8-3. The Falcons picked up one win in doubles over Jenna Landis and Han Le at the top slot, 8-4.

Landis picked upa 6-2, 6-2 win at first singles against Juliana Batah, while Barbour beat Anna Branson 6-3, 6-2. Walker dropped Delaney 6-1, 6-0 at the third spot before Brown earned a 6-0, 6-2 win at the fourth position. Riley Zopp and Taylor Jackson each tallied 6-0, 6-0 wins at the fifth and sixth slots, respectively, to set the match score to 8-1.

Methodist returns to action on Saturday, March 17, against Averett at 1 pm at the Gene Clayton Courts.
