WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. Jeremy Prichard scorched the JDL Fast Track Saturday at the Wake Forest Invitational, posting a second-place time of 50.47 in the 400-meter dash to crack the top 20 nationally amongst NCAA Division III runners in the event this winter.
Also burning up the JDL track for Methodist's indoor track and field teams were
Jimlyn Laurent and
Makayla Lawler, while
Deasha Frisby,
Kimeesha Whitlock and
Jalen Anderson shined in the field events for the Monarchs.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Laurent posted her fastest time of this young indoor season in the 60-meter dash. During the preliminary heats she blazed to a time of 8.12 seconds.
- Prichard's 400 immediately followed strong outings from both Chakalyn Patterson and Olivia Mague in the women's 400. Patterson's 1 minute, 8.85 second clocking is the fastest Methodist time this winter, while Mague's 1:08.99 is just behind.
- Lawler recorded a season-best 11:00.60 in her 3,000-meter run, then later in the meet posted a time of 5:37.04 in the women's mile.
- Whitlock hop, skipped and jumped to a sixth-place finish in the women's triple jump, eventually touching down in the sand with a season-best and team-best distance of 10.34 meters (33 feet, 11.75 inches).
- Frisby moved to the top of the Methodist list in the women's shot put, recording a best toss Saturday of 10.73 meters (35-2.5), while Anderson's best heave in the weight throw, 11.23 meters (36-10.25) is also a Methodist best this winter.
