Box Score 2 HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. The Methodist women's tennis team swept aside St. John Fisher College, 8-1, in an early match Wednesday at the Chaplin Park Tennis Center, before sweeping the day with an identical 8-1 win in the afternoon over Eastern Nazarene College at the Hilton Head Beach & Tennis Center.
After the successes against St. John Fisher, the Monarchs needed to recover from a 1-0 deficit against Eastern Nazarene, and did so in glorious fashion winning eight consecutive matches to run away with the victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Methodist rolled through the doubles matches against St. John Fisher as
Allison Himes and
Jill Lawrence initiated the sweep with a resounding 8-0 win in the 1-doubles slot.
Ashton Walker added the team's fourth point with a straight-set, 6-3 and 6-2, win at No. 1 singles before
Abby Caddick procured the clinching point with a 0 and 3 win at No. 2.
The afternoon match against the Lions began with an Eastern Nazarene win at 3-doubles, but Walker and Caddick squared the match with an 8-7(2) victory at No. 1, and Himes and Lawrence pushed the Monarchs in front with an 8-5 win at No. 2.
Methodist proved unstoppable at that point as
Taylor Jackson, Lawrence, Walker,
Catherine Smith, Himes and Caddick won in succession to finish off the rout.
