HOW IT HAPPENED
  • In the ninth minute of the match, the Monarchs just nearly missed taking the early advantage. Collin Hinnant jumped up and got his head on the ball that was crossed in front of the net, but the header went over the crossbar.
  • The Pacers scored the first goal of the game in the 29th minute.
  • Methodist tried to score the equalizer with shots from Hudson Zeisman and Truls Ballo. Both shots could not get past the William Peace goalie, as he registered saves.
  • In the final seconds of the match, the Pacers scored again, after a missed clear by the Monarchs.
NUMBERS
  • William Peace's offense was clicking on all cylinders, as they had more shots (12) and shots on goal (4) than Methodist, with 5 and 2 respectively.
  • The Pacers controlled the ball in the attacking third for a good portion of the game. The proof in that is shown in corner kicks, as William Peace had five corners while the Monarchs had none.
  • Methodist and the Pacers each had two saves a piece.
