HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Monarchs had two chances to score early in the second half. Both Hudson Zeisman and Miller Davis put shots on target, but neither got past the keeper Thomas Prizzia.
- Less than six minutes into the match, a shot from Kobe Smith put the Captains ahead 1-0. They would go up 2-0 heading into the midway point.
- In the early part of the second half, CNU netted two more goals to give them a 4-0 advantage.
- Methodist's Cole Hupp finished the match, with a game-high six saves.
NUMBERS
- The Captains held a 15-6, including a 10-3 shots on goal, shot advantage over the Monarchs.
- In the second half, each side took five shots a piece.
- Methodist edged out CNU, in corner kicks, 3-2.
