SANDESTIN, Fla. Methodist men's golf team wrapped up the final day of this year's Golfweek Division III Men's Fall Preview on Tuesday. The Monarchs played their best round of golf for this event with a four-over 288, which jumped them up into a tie for seventh place with a total of 26-over 878.

DAY 3 NOTES
- Chase Walts (76-75-66—217, +4) soared up the player leaderboard from 79th to a tie for 15th place after shooting five-under 66 in the round for a three-day total of 217 (+4). The only major blemish for Walts today was double bogeying his final hole but outside of that he birdied seven times throughout the course.
- The only other Methodist golfer to shot under for the day was Cameron Cappuzzo (74-75-70—219, +6). His six-over 219 was good for a tie in 24th place. He was even (two birdies and two bogeys) following his back nine, where he started, then made two additional birdies and one bogey to score a 70 (-1).
- In a tie for 40th place, Jonny Lewis (73-71-77—221, +8) finished the tournament with an eight-over 221. His day started off well as he birdied twice within the first five hole but a double bogey not to long after put him back at even. From there he double bogeyed two more times and bogeyed on two other occasions for the round to give him a six-over 77.
- Sitting one stroke behind Lewis, with a 222 (+9) for the event, was Will Campbell (74-72-76—222, +9). He came in a tie for 47th place after committing five bogeys on the course today for a five-over 76 in the round.
- In his best round for the tournament, Beau Brewer (80-80-76—236, +23) also shot a 76 (+5). He made four bogeys and one birdie on the back nine before accumulating an additional three bogeys and one birdie through the first nine holes. His 23-over 236 grand total puts him in a tie for 102nd overall.

Methodist is off for the next couple of weeks before returning to the O'Briant-Jensen Memorial on October 31-November 1.
