GREENSBORO, N.C. Methodist men's golf team shot a second round score of one-under 283, which puts their two-day total 576 (+8), at the O'Briant-Jensen Memorial. This resulted in the Monarchs moving up one spot to finish in second place for the event.

DAY 2 NOTES
- Aiden Spampinato (74-66–140, -2) had a tremendous day in his second go around on the course, with a five-under 66. His birdied three of his first four holes, making bogey on the other, to at two-under heading into the turn. From there he shot four more birdies and a bogey to end his day and make his tournament score a 140 (-2), to place him in a tie for fourth.
- Coming in 10th place, Will Campbell (71-73–144, +2) went two-over 73 for the round, which brought his total score to a 144 (+2). On the front nine, he was even following a pair of birdies and bogeys. The only marks he had on the back nine were bogeys on holes 14 &16.
- Climbing eight spots into a tie for 23rd overall, Chase Walts (75-74–149, +7) finished with a grand total of seven-over 149, after posting a 74 (+3) for the round. His first four holes went double bogey, birdie, bogey and birdie before making another bogey later to put him at two-over through the first nine holes. His back nine saw him make a birdie and a double bogey.
- Caleb Ryan (80-70–150, +8) played much better in the second round, a one-under 70, by taking off 10 strokes from his day one score. He went even on holes 1-9 with three birdies and three bogeys, then made two more birdies to one bogey on holes 10-18. With his total score of eight-over 150, Ryan soared up 35 spots to come in a tie for 29th place.
- In a tie for 35th place, Cameron Cappuzzo (73-78–151, +9) finished one stroke behind Ryan with a nine-over 151 following a 78 (+7) performance in the round. After going bogeying twice on the front half of the course, Cappuzzo looked like he was going to turn it around starting with a birdie on hole 10. The back half of the course did not favor him though with four bogeys and a double bogey to conclude the day.

This wraps up the fall portion of Methodist schedule and the Monarchs due not take the course again until March 11-12 when they play in the Tiger Invitational hosted by Hampden-Sydney.
