ROME, Ga.  The USA South Athletics Conference just released this week's student-athlete of the week honors on Monday afternoon. Being recognized for her performance, during the week of September 12-18, was Laura Harris from Methodist women's soccer team.

A senior from Greensboro, North Carolina, Harris was selected as women's soccer player of the week after scoring four goals and adding an assist in a week that saw the Monarchs go 2-0. Her nine points (a goal is two pts. and an assist are one) is the most she has had in a single-week for her career.

In the 6-0 victory over Johnson & Wales University (N.C.), she recorded two goals, including the first goal (eventual game-winner). During the 5-0 win against Bob Jones University, once again Harris tallied two goals (30 seconds apart) and registered an assist. Of her eight total shots, six were on frame (75%) and she is now up to three contests this season that she has scored two or more goals.
