MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. The Methodist track and field team had a successful showing during day two of the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational on Friday.

TOP PERFORMANCES
- Komla Akogo finished the men's decathlon in sixth place with a total of 4289 points. He placed second in the javelin throw with a best throw of 38.25 meters.
- Courtney Drumm finished the women's 5k with a time of 19:57.30.
- Brandi Gardner ran a 12.90 in the women's 100-meter dash.
- Patti Busch ran a 2:37.97 in the women's 800-meter run.
PERSONAL RECORDS
- Aaron Nash recorded a 10.78 in the men's 100-meter dash (beating his all-time PR by .2 seconds) and a 7.09-meter jump in the men's long jump (setting a new collegiate PR).
- Jack Barriger ran a 4:40.13 in the men's mile run, besting his PR by nine seconds.
- Jordan Pecorella recorded a 28.02-meter throw in the women's hammer throw, outdoing her all-time PR by 4.71 meters.
