JEKYLL ISLAND, Ga. Methodist men's golf, rank No. 2 nationally, wrapped up the third day of the Jekyll Island Invitational on Sunday. The Monarchs posted a score of three-under par 285, which gave them a grand total of 864 (E), and moved up one spot for a fourth place finish.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Monarchs tied for the second lowest score, 304, of round three. This was also the best day of the event for Methodist.
- Cooper Hrabak (73-71-67—211, -5) leaped 16 positions to come in a tie for fifth place. He nearly missed the top-3 by one stroke after shooting a round-low five-under par 67.
- Aiden Spampinato (73-69-72—210, -2) slid down one spot, to T-11th, following an even-par 72 on his last go around. He hit two bogeys and two birdies on each half of the course.
- Rookie Jonny Lewis (78-69-71—218, +2) climbed another 19 spots to come in a tie for 25th by the end of day three. He was even with a bogey and a birdie on the front nine before shooting three more birdies to two bogeys on the back half.
- Cameron Cappuzzo (73-76-76—225, +9) came in a tie for 66th following his four-over par 76 round while Chase Walts (77-74-75—226, +10) concluded his last round with a three-over par 75, which helped move him up nine spots into a tie for 72nd.

Methodist will have the next couple of weeks to get ready for the Camp Lejeune Intercollegiate on March 31 - April 2.
