  • Scores in the second quarter from Vaughan, Ryan Kavounis and Cy Horner extended Methodist's unanswered scoring streak to nine goals. After three second-quarter saves by Gabe Russell, the Cougars scored their second goal of the game for the last score of the half.

  • RJ Breeden and Mitchell McClendon produced to more scores for Methodist in the third quarter, followed by another goal by McClendon in the fourth to give the Monarchs a ten-goal lead. Averett scored its first and only goal of the half with 4:40 remaining in the match.
