HOW IT HAPPENED
- Jumping into the top-ten, in a tie for eighth overall, was Cameron Cappuzzo (73-71) following another one-under par 71 round. He started out four-under through his first 11 holes before hitting a three-hole snag. During that time, he bogeyed twice and double bogeyed once to put him back at even-par, but he would leave that behind him as he chipped in one more birdie to end on a higher note.
- Cooper Hrabak (72-71) played another steady round, one-under par 71, his second time out to move up ten spots into a tie for 14th. He started the day by making birdie on his first hole and then birdied again eight holes later. His only bad mark of the round came on hole number 18 when he made bogey.
- In a tie for 21st place, Aiden Spampinato (71-73) shot a one-over par 73 on day two. A little bit of a rocky start as he was three-over after three straight bogeys to begin the day. He bounced back from that tough go by knocking down three birdies to just one more bogey for the remainder of the round.
- Jonny Lewis (74-72) went even-par 72 during his second trip around the course, which helped him move up 13 spots into a tie for 38th place. Through his first ten holes he was sitting at one-under before hitting some trouble on holes 17 & 18. A double bogey followed by a bogey, respectively, now put him at two-over. He was able to settle down and make two more birdies during his last six holes.
- Having a much better second day was David D'Agostino (77-71) with a one-under par 71. His first hole resulted in a bogey but then birdied three of his next nine holes to bring him two-under. One more bogey close to the end of his round was how he finished for the day, but his performance leapfrogged his placement from a tie in 111th to a tie for 65th.
