MOUNT BERRY, Ga.  Sunday's men's soccer match between Methodist and Berry College was a lopsided affair that the Monarchs found themselves on the wrong side of. The Vikings took the match on their home turf by a score of 6-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Methodist goalkeeper Matthew Walker faced intense pressure early as he was called upon to make two saves within the first four minutes of the match. In the 12th minute, he conceded the first goal of the day for Berry.
• Berry found net again in the 22nd minute, but Methodist's Hudson Zeisman answered quickly to pull the Monarchs back within one.
• Walker made a third save in the 28th minute, but the Monarchs gave up back-to-back Berry goals in the 32nd and 37th minutes to give the hosts a 4-1 halftime advantage.
• In need of a few goals, Methodist was offensively limited by the Berry defense in the second half. The Monarchs were credited with just one shot during the 45-minute period. The Vikings added two more scores to their total in the final 10 minutes of action.

NUMBERS

• Hudson Zeisman's goal is his first on the season and the 15th of his career.
• The Monarchs end the week with a 1-1-1 record in three matches.
