ASHLAND, Va.  Playing a third consecutive road game, the Methodist men's lacrosse team faced a daunting Randolph-Macon squad on Wednesday afternoon, ultimately dropping the contest 21-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Methodist conceded the first goal of the game less than two minutes in. Cy Horner scored the next goal of the match, tying the score at 1-1 with 6:50 left in the first quarter. Jackson Bulkin finished the quarter with five saves, but the Monarchs gave up three more goals in the final three minutes of the period.
• With a 4-1 lead, the Yellow Jackets dominated the second quarter, scoring nine goals to boost their advantage to 13-1 by halftime. Methodist did not attempt a single shot in the second period.
• Randolph-Macon added three more goals to its total during the third quarter, then with Blake Tucker in goal for Methodist in the fourth, the Yellow Jackets produced five more goals.
