BREVARD, N.C. Making the trip to Brevard, the Methodist men's lacrosse team handled business in a 16-3 win on Saturday. The Monarchs scored six unanswered goals in the first period and coasted to victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Methodist took a 6-0 advantage in the first quarter with three scores coming from the stick of Ryan Kavounis.
- The Monarchs gave up two goals in the second period but produced five more of their own. Jacob Burnette scored the final goal of the half with less than a minute left on the clock during a man-up opportunity for Methodist.
- Burnette was first to strike in the third quarter – the first of three goal scorers for the Monarchs during the period. Methodist conceded a goal to Brevard within the final minute of the third quarter.
- Burnette and Nate Moore scored the only two goals of the final period.
