WILLIAMSBURG, Va. Following the opening round at the Historic Triangle Invitational, the Methodist women's golf team sits in 13th with a score of 47 over par.

OPENING ROUND
- Competing as an individual and not counting toward Methodist's team total, Megan Kestner completed the best round out of the six Monarchs in the field, finishing seven strokes over par. The senior shot four over par across her first nine holes, then just three over par on the second half of her day. She finished the round by making par on seven of the final nine.
- After starting the round with a double bogey, Jenna Rutledge finished out her first nine holes with seven straight pars and one bogey heading into the turn. The second half of her day was less favorable, giving her a +10 through one round.
- Paige Wilkinson shot six strokes over par through her first nine, then finished out the round by making par on six out of nine holes. An unfortunate triple bogey on hole 6 factored into her round score of +11. Eva Denten also ended the day at +11, shooting five over par on her first nine and six over par on the back half of the day.
- Anna Wicklum and Cloe Rich each shot 15 strokes over par, with Wicklum making par on seven holes and Rich scoring even on six.
