CARY, N.C. Methodist men's soccer was on the road Saturday evening, traveling to William Peace University for another USA South Athletic Conference clash. After a scoreless first half, the Monarchs scored a late goal to preserve a 1–1 draw against the Pacers at WakeMed Soccer Park.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Both teams struggled to find an offensive rhythm in the first half, with just eight total shots recorded — seven by Methodist and one by William Peace.
- Action picked up after halftime, and the Pacers broke through in the 71st minute when Santiago Escobar scored his fifth goal of the season off an assist from Ehmular Hser.
- Undeterred, the Monarchs continued pressing the attack and were rewarded in the 84th minute. Senior Matthew Manzano sent a well-timed pass into the box, where junior Steven Floyd, Methodist's leading scorer, finished the play for his seventh goal of the season, leveling the score at 1–1.
- Despite several late pushes from both sides, neither team found a winner before the final whistle.

- Methodist outshot William Peace 13–6, including a 6–4 advantage in shots on goal. The Monarchs also controlled much of the possession, generating seven corner kicks to the Pacers' three.
