RALEIGH, N.C. Following a last-minute venue change to Meredith College, the Methodist men's soccer team closed out its regular season Tuesday night against North Carolina Wesleyan University. After 90 minutes of competitive play, the Monarchs and the Battling Bishops settled for a 0–0 draw at the Meredith Athletic Field and Track Complex.
With the result, Methodist finished undefeated in USA South Athletic Conference play for the eighth time in program history and the first since 2015.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Methodist controlled much of the first half, generating 10 shots and several strong scoring opportunities, but was unable to find the back of the net.
- After halftime, N.C. Wesleyan increased its offensive pressure, and the two sides traded chances evenly through the final 45 minutes. Despite quality looks from both teams, neither squad could break through as the match concluded in a scoreless draw.

- Methodist outshot N.C. Wesleyan 17–8, including a 5–2 edge in shots on goal.
- The attacking trio of Steven Floyd, Matthew Manzano, and Josh Mott led the offense with three shots each, including one on frame apiece.
- In goal, junior Trey Gohr played all 90 minutes and tallied two saves to help secure the clean sheet.
- Since the NCAA eliminated overtime from regular-season matches in 2022, Methodist has become just the second Division III program to record 10 or more ties in a single season — joining Williams College, which posted 11 in 2022.
