ROME, Ga. The USA South Athletic Conference announced its 2025 Volleyball All-Conference teams on Wednesday afternoon, with Methodist University well represented among the honorees. Leading the way was freshman
Addison Johnson, who was named the USA South Rookie of the Year and earned Honorable Mention All-Conference recognition. Senior
Jamie Holton collected First Team honors, while junior
Savannah Hovander was named to the Second Team. Rounding out the group, freshman
Addison Yates represented the Monarchs on the league's All-Sportsmanship Team.
Hailing from Laurinburg, North Carolina, Johnson becomes the first player in program history to be named USA South Rookie of the Year. Starting in all 30 matches, she ranked second on the team in both total kills (309) and kills per set (2.73), marks that also placed her seventh and eighth, respectively, among conference leaders. On the defensive end, Johnson added 211 digs (1.87 per set) and 26 blocks, ranking fourth on the team.
For the third consecutive season, Holton earned a spot on the First Team, capping an outstanding collegiate career. The Nags Head, North Carolina native continued to be an offensive force for the Monarchs, leading the team in kills (372), kills per set (3.29), points (431.5), and points per set (3.82) — all top-five marks within the USA South. Defensively, she ranked second on the team in both digs (350) and digs per set (3.10). Due to early-season injuries, Holton took on additional setting responsibilities, finishing the season with a career-high 159 assists and recording five triple-doubles, tied for the fifth-most in NCAA Division III this year.
Earning her third career postseason honor, Hovander adds a Second Team selection to her previous First Team (2024) and Honorable Mention (2023) recognitions. The junior was third on the team in kills (307) and kills per set (2.71), while her 79 total blocks — a new career high — led Methodist and ranked fourth in the conference.
