FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. Handling the Titans of Westminster College on Tuesday, the Methodist baseball team took control in the fourth inning and never looked back, totaling 10 runs compared to just two by the visitors. It's the fifth game this season in which the Monarchs have scored 10 or more runs.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Three innings flew by with neither team managing to put a run on the board and both parties combining for just three hits. With Kyle Molivas on the hill, the Monarchs kept that pattern going in the top of the fourth, holding Westminster to no runs.
- The bats warmed up for Methodist in the bottom of the fourth, producing three hits and using two errors by the Titans to score a trio of runs. Tristen Melvin's RBI bunt single brought the first run of the game home.
- The Monarchs put up a five spot in the bottom of the fifth, with Blake Freeman knocking a single through the right side with bases loaded to send two runners across the plate. Methodist managed to score a run in the sixth and a run in the eighth without recording a hit in either inning, while the Titans prevented the shutout with a run in the eighth and one in the ninth.

- The Monarchs recorded a season–high nine stolen bases on the night, with Banks Engle and Joey Sweeney each earning two.
- Methodist pitchers combined for nine strikeouts, with Molivas totaling three in four innings of work, Josh Plisko tallying two in two innings, and Anthony Sarbanes collecting four across two innings.
