SALISBURY, N.C. Members of the Methodist track & field program produced a lot of excitement on Saturday at the Blue Bear Invitational, setting many personal records while competing against plenty of highly skilled opponents from the NCAA Division II and III levels.

TOP MEN'S PERFORMERS
- Logan Wade (fourth place) and Tydrick Stewart (ninth) set season–best times in the 100m, recording marks of 10.76 and 10.93 respectively, which both rank in the top 30 among times recorded by NCAA Division III athletes this season. Wade's time of 22.09 in the 200m also ranks 35th best in all of Division III while marking a new personal record for the sprinter.
- David Dennis (6.81m) and Jeremiah Freeman (6.71m) both set personal records in the long jump, producing the 19th and 30th best jumps in all of Division III so far this season. The pair finished seventh and eighth out of 36 jumpers.
- Xavier Wilborn PR'ed in the 400m race with a time of 52.91.
- Vondre Nelson was the top Monarch in the 400m hurdles, completing the distance in a personal–best time of 1:00.72.
- Jack Barriger added a PR in the 800m, finishing in 10th out of 36 competitors with a time of 2:01.26.
- Taking a top 10 in the discus throw, Tristan Bowser claimed ninth place with a season–best mark of 40.55m.
- Capturing fifth place out of 21 participants, Joseph Butler set a new personal record in the javelin throw, achieving a mark of 46.71m.
- The Monarchs finished fourth out of 10 teams in the 4x100m relay, claiming the top time by a Division III team. Wade, Stewart, Joshua Antoine and A'Jani Mainer produced a mark of 41.75 seconds — the 14th fastest time in Division III so far this season.
TOP WOMEN'S PERFORMERS
- Quierra Hawkins and Erykalyn Neal both set personal records in the 100m, scoring times of 13.07 and 13.11 respectively. The duo finished 32nd and 33rd out of 53 participants.
- Treazure Rosario Watson set a new personal record in the 200m with a time of 25.88, which ranks 43rd best among Division III athletes this season. The junior finished in 16th out of 55 runners.
- Carmin Davis had the furthest toss by a Monarch in the shot put, throwing for a distance of 9.55m. Rebecca McGaughnea was next in line with a 9.52m toss. McGaughnea also had a great performance in the discus throw, claiming sixth place out of 24 people with a mark of 33.51
