WILMINGTON, N.C. Taking on the first meet of the outdoor season, the Methodist track and field teams competed at the Seahawk Invitational on Friday and Saturday, hitting excellent marks with plenty of personal records.

TOP MEN'S PERFORMERS
- Logan Wade and Tydrick Stewart exuded speed as usual. Wade captured second place out of 29 runners in the 100m with a time of 10.87. In the 200m, Stewart took seventh out of 52 competitors with a personal best time of 21.97.
- Komla Akogo and Vondre Nelson finished neck and neck in the 400m hurdles, with Akogo clocking a 1:02.42 and Nelson finishing at 1:02.85.
- Logan Williams was the lone individual to compete in the 3000m steeplechase, completing the event in 10:29.80.
- Out of 20 participants in the javelin throw, Joseph Butler earned a seventh–place finish with a throw of 44.71m while Williams took 10th with a 40.62m toss.
- Butler was the only pole vault competitor, clearing a height of 3.45m.
- E'Manuel Herbert and Zyon Lewis recorded similar marks in the shot put, with Herbert's 11.96m earning 23rd and Lewis' 11.70m taking 24th out of 37 throwers.
TOP WOMEN'S PERFORMERS
- Treazure Rosario Watson captured 14th place out of 47 runners in the 200m with a time of 25.96, which was just .07 seconds off her personal best.
- In the 100m, Erykalyn Neal posted a PR time of 13.14, claiming 23rd out of 37 sprinters.
- Caidyn Barriger finished the javelin throw in 15th with a PR mark of 19.65m.
- In her first collegiate track and field meet, Kayleen Grullon jumped a distance of 4.71m in the long jump, finishing in 17th out of 28 competitors.
- Carmin Davis was the top Monarch in the shot put, recording a throw of 9.66m, which was good enough for 23rd out of 42 throwers.
