GREENWOOD, Ind. The College Sports Communicators organization released its Academic All–District Women's At–Large teams on Tuesday, with six Methodist student–athletes making the NCAA Division III squad.
Brooke Murrell and
Ainsley McGinn were the two members of the women's lacrosse team to represent Methodist on the at–large list. Both started all 19 contests for the Monarchs in 2025, elevating the team defensively. Murrell was second on the team in ground balls (61) and caused turnovers (35), while her 26 draw controls ranked third. She also contributed six goals and one assist on the season. Murrell has been selected as a CSC Academic All–America finalist and advances to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members, with results announced on July 8.
McGinn ranked third on the team in ground balls with 51 while totaling 17 caused turnovers and 13 draw controls. Offensively, she recorded four goals and two assists. Both McGinn and Murrell are now two–time Academic All–District honorees.
Natalie Brosig,
Jenna Rutledge,
Megan Kestner and
Molly McCluskey of the women's golf team claimed the remaining four sports for Methodist on the at–large team. Brosig received all–conference first–team accolades in 2025 before earning a seventh–place finish at the USA South Women's Golf Championship in April. Her best finish came at the Tartan Invitational in October when she captured fourth place out of 64 golfers with a two–round score of three–over par. It's the third time in which she has earned Academic All–District honors.
Earning a spot on the Academic All–District team for the second consecutive year, Rutledge capped off her junior season with a top–10 finish at the USA South Championship, ending the three–round event in eighth place. At the Flyers Fall Invitational hosted by Sandhills Community College, she represented the Methodist 'B' team while earning the medalist honors.
Kestner played some of her best golf in April, finishing in 18th at the Deb Jackson Invitational with a two–round score of 10–over par. She followed that up with a 17th–place finish at the USA South Championship.
McCluskey garnered a spot on the USA South's all–conference second team after a solid junior season. She saw two top–20 finishes, including a 15th–place finish in a field of 75 golfers at the Lynn Schweizer Invitational and a 13th–place finish at the USA South Championship.
