FAYETTEVILLE, N.C.  Methodist University head women's lacrosse coach Kirsten McKay has named Maddy Winch as an assistant coach with the program.

"I'm excited to welcome Maddy to the Methodist lacrosse family," said McKay. "Her knowledge of the game, ability to develop players, and enthusiasm for creating a positive playing experience stood out during the hiring process. I'm eager to work with Maddy and see the great things she will do to improve our program!"

Winch most recently served as an assistant coach at Juniata College during the 2024 and 2025 seasons. In her first season, she helped lead the Eagles to their first postseason championship, the 2024 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III Women's Lacrosse, and a program record 15 wins. She also coached one All-American, four All-Region players, and nine All-Conference players.

Before joining Juniata, she served as an assistant coach for Triton High School's girls' lacrosse team in Runnemede, New Jersey. She supported the team through practice sessions and weight room activities, designing drills and training programs. She also demonstrated lifting techniques and developed personalized training plans.

Winch graduated from Rowan University and was a member of the women's lacrosse team from 2020 to 2023.
