HOW IT HAPPENED
- Neither side could break through early, as LaGrange's Dylan Bailey saw his attempt blocked and Methodist's Josh Mott forced a save.
- The Panthers struck first in the 18th minute when Lucas Duke intercepted a pass in Methodist's defensive half and fired a 25-yard strike into the bottom corner for a 1-0 lead.
- LaGrange doubled its advantage in the 47th minute, as Jacob Sagstuen headed home a corner kick from Kenny Pameni to make it 2-0.
- The Monarchs responded just three minutes later. Camden Hancox played a ball wide to Cameron Lambert, who delivered a cross into the box for Stretz, whose header cut the deficit in half.
- Stretz and Lambert combined again in the 68th minute, when Lambert faked out a defender and slipped a pass to Stretz, who buried his second goal of the day with a one-timer to level the score at 2-2.
