FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. The Methodist University men's tennis program has released its spring 2026 schedule, featuring a competitive slate of dual matches highlighted by non-conference contests and a full USA South Athletic Conference schedule.
The Monarchs open the spring campaign in February by hosting the MU Invitational from February 14–15. A couple of weeks later, Methodist will play its lone dual match of the month, welcoming Covenant College to the Gene Clayton Tennis Center on Friday, February 27, at 3 PM.
March begins at home, as the Monarchs host Guilford College on Sunday, March 1, at 11 AM, before embarking on an extensive spring break road trip that includes nine matches over seven consecutive days. The trip opens on Thursday, March 5, with a doubleheader, as Methodist visits McDaniel College for a 10 AM match before traveling to Dickinson College for a 4 PM contest.
From March 6–7, the Monarchs will compete at Salisbury University, facing the host Sea Gulls on Friday at 2 PM before taking on Gettysburg College in a neutral-site matchup Saturday morning at 11 AM. Methodist closes the weekend with a visit to York College (Pa.) for an 11 AM match.
The spring break stretch continues with a road match at Goucher College on Monday, March 9, at 3 PM. On Tuesday, March 10, Methodist plays another doubleheader, meeting Alvernia College at 11 AM before facing Albright College at 3 PM. The road swing concludes on Wednesday, March 11, with a 3 PM matchup at Roanoke College.
Following an 11-day break, the Monarchs return home for three consecutive matches, beginning with a non-conference contest against Virginia Wesleyan University on Sunday, March 22, at 1 PM. USA South play opens on Wednesday, March 25, as Methodist hosts North Carolina Wesleyan University at 3 PM, followed by a non-conference matchup against the University of Lynchburg on Thursday, March 26, at 2 PM.
April begins with a road trip to Pfeiffer University on Tuesday, April 7, for a 2 PM conference match. The Monarchs then return to Fayetteville to host Johnson & Wales University (Charlotte) in non-conference action before resuming USA South play on Friday, April 10, when William Peace University visits for a 4 PM match.
Methodist continues conference action with a 2 PM home match against Southern Virginia University on Wednesday, April 15, before heading west for a doubleheader on Saturday, April 18, facing Brevard College at 10 AM and Montreat College at 3 PM. The regular season concludes at home on Wednesday, April 22, as the Monarchs host Randolph College for a Noon showdown.
Postseason play begins with the USA South Men's Tennis Tournament, with semifinal matches scheduled for Friday, April 24, followed by the championship match on Saturday, April 25. Both rounds will be contested on the campus of North Carolina Wesleyan University.
