Methodist Men's Tennis Earns ITA All-Academic Team Honor; Seven Monarchs Named Scholar-Athletes

GILBERT, Ariz.  The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) announced its 2026 Division III Men's Scholar-Athletes and All-Academic Teams on Wednesday, with the Methodist University men's tennis program once again earning recognition for its success in the classroom. The Monarchs were named an ITA All-Academic Team, while seven student-athletes received ITA Scholar-Athlete honors: Kofi Bowe, Brady Catrow, Harry Crokam, James Giles, Kaiden Harvey, Shea McCarthy, and Aaron Zoubek.
 
A total of 147 men's tennis programs earned the All-Academic Team designation this year, with Methodist collecting ITA All-Academic Team honors for the third consecutive season.
 
To be named an ITA All–Academic Team, programs must meet the following requirements:
  • Have a team grade point average of 3.2 or above (on a 4.00 scale),
  • All student-athletes included should be listed on the institutional eligibility form, and
  • All varsity letter winners should be factored into the cumulative team GPA for the current academic year
To be named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, one must meet the following requirements:
  • Have a grade point average of at least 3.5 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year
  • Be listed on the institutional eligibility form
Overall, 1,151 Division III men's tennis student-athletes were recognized as ITA Scholar-Athletes.

Leading the group is Crokam, who earned the distinction for the third consecutive season. Bowe, Catrow, Giles, Harvey, McCarthy, and Zoubek each received the recognition for the first time in their collegiate careers.
