FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. Six Methodist Athletics teams competed on Saturday, including four on campus.
In women's lacrosse, the Monarchs edged out Oglethorpe University, fending off a comeback effort to beat the Stormy Petrels 13–12 at Monarch Stadium.
Rylie Sturgill and
Amadis Levasa led the team offensively with three goals each.

On the baseball diamond, the Monarchs fell twice to Keene State College, dropping game one to the Owls 9–5 before losing game two 8–6 in the 10th inning.
Austin Rinzel finished the day 6-for-10 at the plate, while
Parker Evans' two-run homer was the highlight of the afternoon.

Taking on Guilford College, the Methodist softball team dropped a doubleheader to the Quakers, suffering a 2–0 loss in the first game before falling 7–5 in an electric 10-inning second game.

The Methodist women's tennis team captured victory over Covenant College in its first dual match of the season, winning 6–1. The Monarchs swept in doubles, while

Caitlin Tihanovich,
Addison Haden,
Shea Bieniek and
Wilette Rivera Morales all won their matches in the singles round.

In men's tennis, the Monarchs narrowly fell to Covenant by a score of 4–3. After claiming the doubles point, the Monarchs won just two singles matches:
