FAYETTEVILLE, N.C.  Competing in the Christian Cheerleaders of America (CCA) Christian Cheer Nationals and Collegiate Championship on March 7, the Methodist cheer team took home the title of College National Champions in the All-Girl Non-Tumble Division. The Monarchs outperformed top teams from across the country on their way to earning the best score in the division.

Delivering two performances during the competition (which took place at nearby Crown Coliseum), Methodist finished with a final score of 88%. Head coach Angela Culver said the student-athletes showed tremendous focus, resilience and heart on the mat, particularly during the final round.

"I could not be prouder of this team," Culver said. "They have put in countless hours of hard work, dedication, and perseverance all season long. To see them come together and perform when it mattered most was incredibly special. Winning a national championship is a testament to their commitment to each other and to the program."

This is the second time in three years that the Monarchs have taken the top spot in a division at the CCA Nationals and Collegiate Championship. In 2024, a group of four Monarchs earned the title of CCA Coed Stunt Group National Champions.
