FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. Hosting the Eagles of Bridgewater College, the Methodist women's lacrosse team ended up on the wrong end of Thursday night's result, falling 15–3 at home. The Monarchs played a tight first quarter before watching the Eagles pull away.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- After conceding the first two scores of the game, Methodist answered with a goal by Alana Rabon with under three minutes left in the first quarter. At the end of the period, the Monarchs trailed just 2–1.
- The second quarter brought an onslaught of shots by Bridgewater, resulting in five unanswered goals heading into the halftime break. Methodist was guilty of 12 turnovers during the second quarter compared to just four committed by the Eagles.
- Bridgewater netted the first score of the third quarter less than four minutes in, but Cheyenne Burton was quick to respond with a goal at the 9:40 mark. Four more goals by the visitors put Methodist down 12–2 entering the fourth.
- After the Eagles scored within the first minute of the final period, Brooke Murrell sprinted in from the top of the 12-meter fan on the other end of the field to score for the Monarchs with 13 minutes remaining. Bridgewater added two more goals before the final horn sounded to claim a 12-goal win.
FAST FACTS
- With Thursday's goal, Rabon extends her streak to six games with at least one point. She's the only Monarch to record a goal or an assist in every game so far this season.
