MISENHEIMER, N.C. Methodist women's lacrosse traveled to Pfeiffer University on Friday afternoon and turned in a dominant performance, defeating the Falcons 18–5 in USA South action at Lefko-Mills Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Methodist wasted little time seizing control of the contest, scoring the first nine goals of the afternoon. Layla Wiesenfeld opened the scoring just 23 seconds into the game before Rylie Sturgill and Alana Rabon joined the scoring column. The Monarchs continued to pile on as Cheyenne Burton, Abigail Fritzsche, and Brooke Murrell each found the back of the cage. Pfeiffer broke through late in the period, but Methodist still held a commanding 10–1 lead heading into the second quarter.
- Rabon recorded her third goal early in the second quarter to extend the advantage, but the Falcons responded with three consecutive goals to trim the deficit to 10–4. The Monarchs quickly regained momentum late in the half, however, as Rabon and Sturgill each scored in the final minutes to give Methodist a 12–4 lead at halftime.
- Following the break, Methodist continued to control the pace of play. The Monarchs outscored Pfeiffer 3–1 in the third quarter, with Fritzsche scoring twice and Murrell adding another goal to extend the lead to 15–5 entering the final period.
- Methodist closed out the contest in the fourth quarter by holding the Falcons scoreless while adding three more goals. Murrell, Sturgill, and Wiesenfeld each found the back of the cage to cap the 18–5 conference victory.
