MISENHEIMER, N.C. The Methodist men's lacrosse team saw its 2026 season come to a close Thursday afternoon, falling 24–3 to top-seeded Pfeiffer University in the semifinals of the USA South Tournament at Lefko-Mills Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Pfeiffer opened the game with three consecutive goals before junior Sam Newton put Methodist on the board with the Monarchs' first goal of the afternoon. The Falcons added two more scores before the end of the opening quarter to take a 5–1 lead.
- The top-seeded Falcons seized control in the middle quarters, outscoring Methodist 18–0 across the second and third periods. Pfeiffer tallied 11 goals in the second quarter and seven more in the third to build a commanding advantage.
- Methodist closed the game by outscoring Pfeiffer 2–1 in the fourth quarter, with sophomore Josh Crabtree and freshman Thomas Oakes each finding the back of the net.
