Methodist Men’s Lacrosse Lands Four on All-Conference Team

ROME, Ga.  Back on Thursday, April 23, the USA South Athletic Conference announced its 2026 Men's Lacrosse All-Conference Awards, with Methodist University earning four Second Team All-Conference selections. Jay Legg, Michael Tucker, Daniel Wright, and Jay Moore all received postseason recognition, while senior Jacob Burnette was named to the conference's All-Sportsmanship Team.
 
For Legg and Wright, the honors mark their second consecutive All-Conference selections, while Tucker and Moore earned the first postseason awards of their collegiate careers.
 
Despite appearing in just 14 games, Legg, a sophomore from Holly Springs, North Carolina, led the Monarchs offensively with 37 goals, a career-high 22 assists, and 59 points. The attackman also totaled 23 ground balls and 11 caused turnovers during the season.
 
Tucker, a junior from Cary, North Carolina, enjoyed his strongest season in a Methodist uniform after playing in all 15 games with 12 starts. The defender posted career highs in both ground balls (29) and caused turnovers (15), while also scoring his first two collegiate goals and adding one assist offensively.
 
Wright, a junior from Pasadena, Maryland, continued to anchor the Monarch defense after starting all 15 contests. The defenseman finished the season with 29 ground balls and 14 caused turnovers.
 
Moore, a sophomore from Mooresville, North Carolina, emerged as one of Methodist's top defensive playmakers. Appearing in all 15 games with three starts, he led the Monarchs with a career-high 24 caused turnovers while collecting 38 ground balls, the third-highest total on the team. Moore also contributed offensively with a career-best six goals and one assist.
