GREENSBORO, N.C. The Methodist men's lacrosse team traveled to Greensboro College on Saturday afternoon for a key USA South matchup. After taking a lead into halftime, the Monarchs were outscored in the second half and fell to the Pride, 14–7, at Pride Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Greensboro struck first in a low-scoring opening period, taking a 1–0 lead before adding another goal early in the second quarter to move ahead 2–0.
- Methodist responded moments later when sophomore LJ Oby won the faceoff and raced straight to the net for the Monarchs' first goal of the afternoon. Shortly after, fellow sophomore Jay Legg found the back of the cage to even the contest at 2–2.
- The Pride briefly reclaimed the lead with their second goal of the period, but Methodist closed the half strong. Seniors RJ Breeden and Jacob Burnette each scored late in the second quarter, giving the Monarchs a 4–3 advantage heading into halftime.
- Methodist extended its lead to 5–3 early in the third quarter, but Greensboro answered with five consecutive goals to take control of the game at 8–5. The Monarchs pulled within two later in the period with another score, though the Pride added a late goal to carry a 9–6 lead into the final quarter.
- Greensboro continued its momentum in the fourth, outscoring Methodist 5–1 to secure the 14–7 victory.
