PRATTVILLE, Ala. The No. 6-ranked Methodist men's golf team wrapped up the Capital Hill Classic on Tuesday, finishing in second with a total score of 866 (+2). In the final round, the Monarchs shot nine-over 297 at the RTJ Golf Trail at Capitol Hill Golf Course.

FINAL ROUND
- Senior Haden Ruby led the Monarchs in the tournament, finishing tied for sixth with a three-round total of 216 (E). Ruby carded a one-over 73 in the final round, recording three birdies.
- Senior Beau Brewer finished just one stroke behind Ruby, tying for eighth place with a total score of 217 (+1). Brewer made two birdies on the final day while posting a one-over 73.
- Senior Jonny Lewis placed tied for 18th overall with a tournament score of 219 (+3) after shooting a three-over 75 in the final round.
- Junior Todd Moyer finished tied for 21st with a three-round total of 220 (+4). His final round featured an eagle on the front nine during a five-over 77.
- Sophomore William Plageman rounded out the Methodist lineup, finishing tied for 24th with a score of 221 (+5). Plageman made three birdies in the final round while carding a four-over 76.
UP NEXT
Methodist will compete in one final tournament before the conference championships when the Monarchs travel to Lynchburg, Virginia, for the Sam Snead Collegiate on April 13–14. The event is hosted by Piedmont University and will be played at Poplar Grove Golf Course.
