HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. The No. 5-ranked Methodist men's golf team completed the third round of the 2026 NCAA Division III Men's Golf Championship on Thursday, carding a second consecutive three-over par 291 on the El Campeon course at Mission Inn Resort. The Monarchs slipped to seventh place overall with a three-round total of 866 (+6).

THIRD ROUND
- Junior Todd Moyer once again paced the Monarchs and turned in one of the best rounds of the day. After a slow start, Moyer caught fire on the back nine, recording five birdies and four pars over his final nine holes. He finished with a three-under par 69, highlighted by a team-high six birdies, to move into a tie for seventh overall with a three-round score of 211 (-4).
- Sophomore William Plageman delivered the biggest climb on the leaderboard for Methodist, jumping 41 spots after carding a two-over par 74. Despite an up-and-down round, Plageman recorded five birdies — second-most on the team during the round — and now sits tied for 72nd with a tournament total of 226 (+11).
- For the second straight day, seniors Jonny Lewis and Haden Ruby each posted rounds of two-over par 74. Lewis made three birdies and is tied for 24th with a three-round score of 217 (+2). Ruby added two birdies in his round and enters the final day tied for 30th at 218 (+3).
- Senior Beau Brewer rounded out the Methodist lineup with a three-over par 75, recording one birdie during the round. Brewer sits tied for 51st overall with a tournament total of 221 (+6).
