HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. Weather impacted the opening day of the 2026 NCAA Division III Men's Golf Championship on Tuesday, as play was suspended due to rain. Despite the delay, the No. 5-ranked Methodist men's golf team completed its opening round on the Las Colinas Course and sits tied for fifth after shooting an even-par 284.

OPENING ROUND
- Junior Todd Moyer paced the Monarchs with a three-under par 68, placing him in a tie for third individually after Day One. Moyer recorded a team-best four birdies during his opening round.
- Senior Jonny Lewis turned in an even-par 71, highlighted by three birdies, to give Methodist another steady score in the lineup.
- Seniors Haden Ruby and Beau Brewer each carded three birdies during their rounds as well. Ruby finished at one-over par 72, while Brewer posted a two-over par 73.
- Sophomore William Plageman rounded out the Monarch lineup with a two-over par 73. His scorecard featured both a birdie and an eagle.
