5/4/2026 6:00:00 PM

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.  The NCAA Division III Men's Golf Committee officially announced the field for the 2026 NCAA Division III Men's Golf Championship on Monday afternoon, with Methodist University earning a spot in the national championship tournament. The Monarchs secured one of the event's 34 automatic qualifiers after capturing the USA South Athletic Conference Championship on April 22.

A total of 43 teams and 10 individuals not on qualifying teams will compete in the championship, scheduled for May 12–15 at Mission Resort & Club in Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida. The opening two rounds will be played simultaneously on the El Campeon and Las Colinas courses before the tournament shifts exclusively to El Campeon for the final two rounds. Following 36 holes of competition, the field will be trimmed to the top 18 teams and the top six individuals not competing with one of those teams.

Methodist enters the championship ranked among the nation's elite, sitting No. 3 in the Bushnell/Golfweek Division III Coaches Poll and No. 5 in the Scoreboard/Clippd rankings.

The Monarchs are also the two-time defending NCAA Division III national champions, having captured the team title in both 2024 and 2025. Methodist owns a record 15 NCAA Division III Men's Golf National Championships, all under the direction of head coach Steve Conley. The 2026 championship appearance will mark the program's 45th consecutive trip to the national tournament.
