BURLINGTON, N.C. - Top seeded N.C. Wesleyan remained undefeated on Saturday as they cruised to a 9-0 win over No. 4 Methodist in the USA South Tournament semifinals.
Matthew Taylor and
Justin Campbell lost 8-3 at number one doubles before
Dylan Knox and
Rob Schmidt lost 8-6 at number two.
Rob Currier and
Steven Burkett# finished with the 8-4 loss at number three.
Taylor lost 6-3, 6-0 at number one and then
Sean Teeter lost 6-1, 6-1 at number six. Campbell lost 6-1, 6-2 at number four and Schmidt lost 6-3, 6-0 at number two.
Brad Tulenko was defeated 6-0, 6-2 at number five and Knox lost 6-3, 6-0 at number three.
The Monarchs finish 11-7 on the year. N.C. Wesleyan advances to the tournament championship on Sunday against Averett.
