DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - The Methodist University cheerleading team kicked off the National Cheerleaders Assocation (NCA) championships in Daytona Beach on Thursday.

After the preliminary competition, the Monarchs are in third place in the All Girl Intermediate II division. Shorter College is in first while the University of Southern Maine ranks second. Methodist received a score of 7.252 for their performance.
