Greensboro Defeats Methodist Lacrosse

Box Score FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - The score was tied early, but Greensboro took control and finished with the 19-3 win over Methodist.

The Pride scored the first goal at the 1:16 mark in the first half. Amber Jurkovac evened the score at one with a goal two minutes later, but Greensboro went on a 7-0 run to take control at 8-1. Brittany St. Jacques added a goal for the Monarchs with less than eight minutes remaining. The Pride maintained a 12-2 advantage at halftime.

Jasmine Stephens scored for Methodist midway through the second half before Greensboro finished with the 19-3 victory.

Four players had four goals a piece for Greensboro. Jessica Catanzano made three saves in goal.

Lindsey Cosgray had 10 stops for Methodist.

The Monarchs will welcome back their alumni for a game Sunday before hosting their final regular season home game on Saturday at 2 p.m. against Christopher Newport.
