STAUNTON, Va. - The Methodist women's tennis team added another USA South win on Sunday with a 9-0 shutout against Mary Baldwin College.

The Monarchs opened up with a 3-0 lead after doubles. Kaitlin Flaherty and Katherine Meindl won 8-0 at number one and Heather Brayton and Jennifer Hamel won 8-1 at number two. Kelli Shelton and Brittany Britt battled to the 9-7 win at number three.

Flaherty and Meindl won 6-0, 6-0 at number one and two singles respectively. Rachel Purser won 6-1, 6-0 at number three while Brayton won 6-0, 6-0 at number four. Dana Powell won 6-1, 6-0 at number five and Shelton won 6-0, 6-0 at number six.

Methodist will host Meredith College on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m.
